TIME TO SWITCH

Too far, too early or the weather too bad to use the bike? Can’t be bothered with the bus? Too busy? A lot of workers use their car on a daily basis even though they live only a short distance from their work or could easily take the bus or train. Most people do this purely out of habit and are unaware of the consequences of their actions for the environment and their own health. Why not leave the car at home for week and make a contribution towards reducing CO2 emissions and improving the environment?
During European Mobility Week local authorities will be encouraging people to try out alternative means of transport to their car. As part of this ‘Time To Switch’ effort we will be encouraging workers to use more environment-friendly means of transport.

Time To Switch!
Interested?
Leave your car at home for a week and take the electric bike, scooter or bus and let us know how you get on by contributing to the blog on www.eindhoven.nl/mobiliteitsweek. Owing to the extremely high level of interest it is no longer possible to register for this event.
The FlooW will once again be participating this year with three bicycles!

AUTUMN IN PRAGUE!

In Prague, electric bicycles are uncommon, there are almost no bicycle lanes and the city is blessed with an almost perfect public transport network. Weaving between the strollers on the promenades in the city, Stephan Bult was our guide on a bicycle tour of Prague.  Ekolo and Jakub Dietrich from AGOGS accompanied the Floow with each an electrical bike and so a trio of Dutch cyclists caught the attention of the city’s residents. The fun factor of ‘being seen’ was multiplied fourfold in this beautiful city: In 2011, it will be possible to hire the FlooW for a day out at several locations in the Netherlands! Say hello to recreation. Prague was our inspiration. The FlooW is here to stay!
